Home
Detention
Midstate
Security’s Court Services Division offers a full range of alternatives
and services geared toward the home detention program. Our division
staff has a combined total of over 40 years in the law enforcement and
criminal justice backgrounds. In addition to serving a growing number of
District Courts in the State of Michigan with alternatives to jail
overcrowding and caseload management; Midstate Security provides its own
24-hour state of the art monitoring center, located in Grandville
Michigan, which you can learn more about by following the link at the
top of this page.
The
monitoring center provides immediate and accurate information to courts,
probation officers, or law enforcement personnel of any violation
committed by an offender. An individual can be set up on many
custom-tailored programs ranging from full 24-hour “lock down”, to work
release type programs, where the individual can be tracked remotely by
either a passive “tether” device, or an active GPS unit. When using an
active GPS tether, the supervising agent can actually have direct
two-way communications with the offender, an industry first in an
incredibly compact, lightweight GPS unit. Traditionally, courts had to
use the larger “car battery” style passive GPS units, which did not
allow for up-to-date instant information about the offenders
whereabouts. Modern technology packages an incredibly small, lightweight
cellular telephone with GPS capability with a traditional ankle tether
to provide continual 100% coverage.
Midstate
Security can provide, but is not limited to, placing clients on the
following types of home detention devices:
Electronic Location
Monitoring (Ankle Tether)
GPS Assisted Electronic Location Monitoring
Breathalyzer with Visual Verification
Breathalyzer with Visual Verification and Electronic Location
Monitoring
Voice verification with any of the above
Our
new MEMS 3000 home breathalyzer unit offers an industry first color,
enhanced definition photograph of the offender for even greater
reliability. The new 3000-series, builds on the reliable technology of
the MEMS 2000 unit, while making it more reliable and easy to use. Gone
are the days of lengthy instruction sheets and operational errors, the
new MEMS 3000 unit offers single line instructions prompted by LED’s
which instruct the client precisely and accurately, how to perform the
test.
Midstate Security’s Command Center can provide information of any or all
violations by fax, telephone, immediate notification, or next day
notification (24 hours) and provides help to probation officers, or
clients regarding equipment problems, questions, or concerns.
