CODE BLUE: Campus Safety

Campus safety has become a top concern for college communities, parents and students.

In a three month period during the fall of 2010, there were five separate episodes of campus gun violence reported in schools across the country.  Being pro-active toward campus safety has become critical. To meet this challenge campuses are turning to state-of-the-art security systems.

But where to begin?

There are many facets to an effective security plan. Code Blue mass notification is one.

Protect your student body by starting with a "Code Blue" system.

Code Blue systems offer a variety of features that will help protect, alert, and secure your student body.

• call boxes on campus
• loudspeakers in school buildings, residence halls, stadiums, libraries
• intercom system
• sirens
• mass email and text messaging systems that will not get disrupted when cell towers are overloaded

Unfortunately we can't stop people from planning violent crimes, but with the right emergency response system in place we can stop them from succeeding.
