Recently, with Internet based cameras and backup power supplies installed by Midstate Security's trained technicians; a client was able to watch Hurricane Katrina's damaging effects to his vacation home from the safety of his residence in Michigan. The cameras and power supplies reliably stood watch on the home as the Hurricane whipped damage, debris, trees, and boats over the entire area. Only after the storm took out all forms of power and communications, did the video become interrupted as the internet connection finally succumbed to the effects of Mother Nature. However, because of a Digital Video Recorder installed on-site, video footage was never lost even after the connection was lost. And now, just a few short years later, reliable wireless cellular technology allows video cameras to effectively operate when there is no data connection at all, and even without a wired power supply!

The quality of a typical low-cost camera system purchased from a 'wholesale distributor' cannot match the resolution, durability, and reliability of a professionally installed CCTV system from Midstate Security.
